Description:
I used the ELMO TT-02 document camera with my middle school technology classes.First, for my 8th grade class (Technology and Gaming Strategies), I used the ELMO to display an example of a script from a Hollywood movie that my students liked, in order to inspire them and to show them the proper formatting for a movie script.Next, I used the document camera with my 6th and 7th grade class (Computer Lab), in order to prepare them for their final research project, where they were required to choose a Francophone country to study.
Reflection:
The ELMO TT-02 is a very valuable piece of equipment to use in the classroom, for several reasons.First, it engages students.I have learned, during my educational career, that students are fascinated by new and upcoming technologies.The overhead is now a thing of the past, and the ELMO is the next frontier.Secondly, the ELMO empowers student learning, because it allows them to direct their own presentations in a completely different way than just a PowerPoint presentation would allow them to do.Lastly, the ELMO allows teachers to cut down on copies, which saves paper, which, in turn is good for the environment.
